The Lee Strasberg Film Festival Reveals Jury for 2025 Edition

Los Angeles, CA — The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute has unveiled the jury for the 9th Annual Lee Strasberg Film Festival, set to run November 7–9 in Los Angeles. Dedicated to showcasing films that champion authenticity, emotional honesty, and powerful performances, the festival continues to honor the legacy of its namesake, Lee Strasberg, a central figure in shaping American acting.


This year’s jury unites a diverse and accomplished roster of actors, directors, writers, and producers whose work spans film, television, and theater. The panel reflects the festival’s dual focus on artistic integrity and technical excellence. Awards will be presented in categories including Narrative Feature, Short Film, and multiple Acting Awards.

Festival Director David Strasberg, son of the renowned acting teacher, emphasized the jury’s significance: “My father said his Institute is a place to invite talent in. From incredible alumni actors to award-winning filmmakers and producers, our accomplished jury brings knowledge and artistry to ensure that this year’s selections are recognized with care and deep respect for the craft.”


Founded in 2016, the Lee Strasberg Film Festival has quickly established itself as a vibrant platform for independent filmmakers and emerging voices. It continues to build on the Institute’s tradition of nurturing talent, offering a space where imaginative storytelling and nuanced performances are celebrated.


Notably, The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute has trained generations of actors who went on to become icons of stage and screen, including Al Pacino, Marilyn Monroe, Scarlett Johansson, Alec Baldwin, Angelina Jolie, and Lady Gaga. In addition to its educational programs, the Institute offers several scholarships, such as the James Baldwin, Cicely Tyson, Chandra Wilson, and Vincent D’Onofrio Awards.

The festival is currently accepting submissions until August 27, 2025, with the program culminating in an awards ceremony on November 9, 2025.
